What Do You Think??

Ok, Im going for a bit of a unique look on the supra Im fixing up (1986.5 MKIII), I was wondering if anyone has ever seen a MKIII shaved? I mean with the side trim taken off and smoothed out with the rest of the car? I am thinking about doing this because most of my trim is shot, and I think this might be a good way to go about fixing that problem. If anyone has seen this, does it look good or bad?? and also, does anyone have any pictures of a supra like this???? Spazzin360@charter.net....thank you.

I've seen it many times.

Personally, I prefer color matched trim to shaved.

The shaved look is old and played out IMO.. it never looked that great, specially after you get a few dents on your doors.

Indeed. Don't ever go to a supermarket if you shave those... and if you go to a Costco, oh dear...

Yeah, I kind of like that too, but my trim is shot...My brother has a 88 celica and he shaved that, and that looks pretty damn good, Im wondering if it would look similar being that they are somewhat similar cars....maybe

^ agreed, i've seen some decent conversions on a supra, but stay away from euro conversions... bmw lights are popping up on everything these days and most of em look like ass...

god forbid you put something honda (i think these are accord lights?) on it but it almost looks nice:

i'd vote for a soarer front end swap myself, or mkiv front:

Man, I think that the purple Supra looks pretty good - shaved wise...If I shaved it and it turned out like that I would not be unhappy (Only I either want to keep my stock front end or switch to something like this "Evo body kit"). That or I could do something like paint the trim black so you can't see the defects...Whats everyones opinion on these ideas?
