Alright, Ive got another question, Does anyone know the best way to get more power without spending a ton??? Thats always the question. I always see those "performance chips" on ebay, I cant imagine those work...do they? I have a 1986.5 non-turbo Supra...I really want some more power...is the only way turbos??
believe me, without building the engine, yes, that is the only way... i have every bolt on other than headers you can do to an n/a supra as far as power goes, and it still gets raped by various inferior cars... lol
Alright, How would I make one of those things? and if I did, would I even be able to tell a difference? Would I be able to swap my 3.0 7M-GE with a 3.0 7M-GTE engine? Would this be a fairly simple engine swap, or would there be a lot of changes I would have to make?? Theres one on ebay right now for about $350, Im assuming that a good price.
There are quite a few changes to make to go to a GTE.
Wiring Harness
ECU
Tranny
Not all cheap.
As for making the N/A fast w/o spending a ton, good luck. In order to make a 'performance chip' like the ones sold on ebay, go to radioshack, buy a resistor, splice it into a certain wire. That's it.
All they do, is make the car think it is still warming up, so it'll give it more fuel. THAT'S IT.

Who came up with this 500px wide BS?
No.
Really, you either go GTE or you don't. Either way you'll spend money. There's not a way to bypass all the stuff that putting boost into an N/A would do, nevermind that it's fuel system wouldn't be able to supply anywhere near enough fuel.

You could always put her on the bottle. Nitrous is fairly cheap and relativly easy. Far cheaper and easier than any other options. You can change the power increase by simply changing a jet in the nossle. So you can start small and work your way up to where you want to be. Make sure the kit provides a way to add more fuel to compensate. More air without more fuel = meltdown. Also don't go crazy with it either. Otherwise you will find out the hard way that you can have too much of a good thing.
Im thinking my engine won't be able to handle that, its got 230,000 miles on it right now. Im thinking maybe just wait till I blow this engine and then switch to the GTE. Not sure, and money permiting of course.

As if the bottom end and everything else wasn't sensitive enough

exactly! so put her on tha bottle! let her blow! then you'd have 2 come up with tha money 2 boost it
