So yesterday, it was 78 degrees outside, targa top down, brand new tires, had 2 friends with me, I decided to act a fool, and as i was making a right turn, I dropped the clutch and backswayed 4-5 times in tha opposite directions, then whipped it back into position, and gunned it, and the car bogged. there was a very large hesitation, where you can hear the turbo spooling, but no power...untill i came to the next light. 2-3 lights (city driving so every light is 500 ft or so from eachother). at tha fourth light, it stopped doing it and worked fine. WTF!? the car does it everytime i'm done getting backsway...if i go sideways, it will bog after, but if i gun it insane-o style all day, i dont seem to ever have this problem.
n e ideas?
thanx
1) I didn't know people actually used the term 'act a fool', it sounds even worse typed than in the horrible song.
2) At least you got the fool part right.
3) Try driving like a sane individual?
4) What is backsway? I've never heard this term.

Wow...that has to be the first post in a while i've had to read 6-7 times to really understand WTF someone is talking about...apparently, anyone these days can pass grade 3 english, know it or not. Does the problem occur when driving with some semblence normal hard driving? If not, I'll suggest the part to be replaced is the squishy one behind the wheel.
act a fool...act like a fool (i posted this on supra forums) but i actually revised it for ur ass jeeves, forgot 2 change act a fool though....backsway....fishtail, some call drifting, but its just ur back end coming out from behind you...bgreiger...it does not happen when driving strait, it only happens when i "fishtail"? what is the term for driving sideways (and its NOT drifting)...power sliding maybe? anyways, i drive like a sane individual most of the times, but every once in a while i enjoy doing something out of the ordinary...
Fishtail is the correct term for it...powersteering is much more drift style, where you use the power oversteer to puch the car around the bend rather than steering through it.
Based on how little we have to guess at, it could belikely bogging as the car gets traction at the end. While the wheels spin, the RPM is up, and when it hooks up, you drop to something below normal. Without seeing it, I couldn't say for sure.
Keep doing it on public roads though, and you probably won't have a license long enough to need to worry about it...
As far as not being able to understand the post all i can say is welcome to the midwest..!! How much gas did you have in the tank ?If it was low you just had some air in the lines for a moment, mine does that every now and then..If you had a full tank then ide say check the fuel pump or its connections..The g's might have caused some wire to ground out that could be loose or exposed..

I don't know if you are aware, but i did write that every ONCE in a WHILE i decide to do something out of the ordinary...I no longer street race and i no longer speed like a fool...just everyonce in a while, i feel like doing something stupid...a nice burnout, or some donuts, etc.
Being of sound mind and body... I've never done any of those and am quite proud of that fact.

No. You ground out a fuel pump line and the car will not only die, you'll pop fuses too. If you break that connection, your car doesn't just feel ball-less, it quits running. All there is to it.
