TT or n/a?

hey everyone i'm new and i had a big question. Right now i am debating on whether or not to buy a supra mkiv. I would also like to know if it would be a good idea to buy a non turbo supra and add an aftermarket turbo to it. Or would it be better to just buy a stock turbo? Is there any difference in the engine between the non turboed and the turboed? Basically my question is would i have just as fast a car if i bought i non turboed supra and but an aftermarket turbo kit on it. Thanks

Buy it turbo and upgrade. It costs too much to go the other way... Then again, You're the one buying the $25,000, 7+ Year old sports car.

Unless his parents spoil him more than they should, I assume he's just like every other young kid that goes "I want a mk4 supra!" then goes looking and realizes they don't cost as much as a used honda civic. Fact of life.

actually i already have a car, and its very possible for me to get a mkiv. Right now i have a tiburon www.cardomain.com/id/dero2 and if i could get around 16k for it and all the extras, then i could afford a mkiv. However it still would be a financial burden, but i could handle it. I was just DEBATING on whether or not i wanted to spend that much money on a car right now.

What mkiv are u looking at? Good luck finding a non salvage, low mileage supra tt for 25k. Lets see the one that's in your price range(post the add). My mr2 mkII needs a big brother and I may buy it just to spite you due to your age. ahaaaahaha. ima d*ck.....jeeves must be rubbin off on me

Like Jeeves said...it is better/easier/cost efficient to just buy a tt rather than turboing a NA. The engines are the same, but are very different if that makes sense.

Hey man listen up i was born in 86 as well and i cant aford a mkiv however that is due to the fact that i dont come from a wealthy family (i dont have one) i pay for my shit (house, car, INSURANCE!, etc.) i dont have 25+ g's for a overrated (personal opnion) car. If you want to get into a supra have you thought what you could do to a mkiii??? or even a ford festiva? (put Taurus SHO motor in the rear w/ tha drivetrain as well and bam u are crusing. LOL

Tiburons don't sell for above 8k, especially when riced.

Born in 85 and you've got a Mk4? Then you're parents need to tighten their budget and give their newbie driver a honda before he wrecks his toy. (Or better yet, sell it, bwahahaha.)

dont be so hard on the guy because of his age.

I've been working full time since the age of 14, put myself through college and am in my full time career as an Avionics Engineer working on the Canadian Forces C-130 Hercs, I also own a sole-proprietorship business.

and own many cars

at age 19.

Edit: there are many.. MANY young kids from my area who's parents have bought them everything they desire (even pay for the mods on their cars) and that is hilarious.

But to be completely fair, dont judge the kid until you know for sure (which is hard to find out, over the net)

But yeah, if he's not one of those spoiled brats, he should be able to answer questions about his purchase, down payment, insurance installments, loan payments, financing... if he doesnt konw those details inside and out.. his mommy and daddy should know
