OK, I have a 91 7mgte with around 50,000 miles on the engine and about 110,000 on everything else. THREE TIMES NOW, I have to replace the 90 deg. rubber elbows that come out of the water pump and into the thermostat, and the elbow on the back of the block (that runs into it i guess?). This is really starting to piss me off. Anyone else had this happen to them, it's like my water pump is putting out way too much pressure in my coolant pipes.
After the first two times, I used a 3/4" ID copper elbow and two 1" rubber connector hoses to hook the copper elbow to the block and thermostat housing. ---->the 1" rubber elbow bottlenecked out and exploded the other day right when I pulled into the parking lot at work at 4:30am.

What else can I do? Ithought about running a longer rubber coolant hose around my intake tube...i just cant figure it out.....
