87 n/a and I pay $106/month. But thats full coverage; 2,000,000 liability, comprehensive, collision, and roadside.

Mind you, this is through ICBC (in British Columbia) with a 35% discount.

it's a lot

 insurance angers me, its way too much. For me its $100 a month, $1320 a year. It's also really high because of the fact that i am 17.

everyone thinks they got it bad.

i have 2 supras, an 87, and a 91, both auto targa turbos. for full coverage, i pay almost 2000 cdn per year for both of them. i have 10 year accident and claim free, 40 year old single male.

When you are young, they tell you insurance will get cheaper as you get older. THEY ARE JUST LIEING TO YOUR FACE!!!!!

I hear ya Ben...would be just under 1800 for my 87 T and the Explorer for the year...though I reduce coverage to comprehensive only on the car for the winters, and knock a few hundred off that...

Insurance and history

I have heard the quotes for a single unmarried male under 25, and worse, under 21. Example: IROC ,"second driver"(Grandma titles it) less than 40% of time driven, etc comp, collision $2200 year US. In 1987, Supra for a 39 year old male was (full coverage) no record-clean 820 dollars a year. For my 22 year old aerobics instructor friend ,also with a Supra identical to mine it was 3700 a year!!!. Two speeding tickets, single and financing the (then) brand new Supra. I told her she would be better off with a comfy extended cab pickup truck with a killer stereo.....she wouldn't be broke all the time....
