Considering a Supra

Hi everyone,
Right now I drive a 1989 Plymouth Sundance, and intend to keep it because I do like it. I've upgraded the suspension and have a lot of fun in it, (it's set up pretty neutral) especially in winter :P

I'd like to get a second car though, because it's nice having a backup in case one is not working for some reason. I wanted to get something RWD, for the variety... I think it would be better not to get too caught up on one drivetrain layout. I like smaller cars, hatchbacks, good handling, and so far the Supra seems the most promising, so I came here. I think I would like to get an 84-85. I don't want to go too new because my budget isn't huge. It's going to be a while before I can afford one anyway, but I like to get opinions

How much should I expect the car to cost me?

Also I have no intention of ricing it at all. I think that's silly

Keep your Sundance!
If you don't want to spend money fixing up your Supra, then save enough to buy a reliable car like the Honda Civic.
Supras are exotic and expensive to fix. If you are not into racing, then get the Civic or something reliable.
A MAF sensor alone will be about $600 at the dealer.

hey man, good idea for a supra. But let me give you some tips... A supra can be a very very fast car, however reliability is an issue with our dear supras. I dont care what anyone says, Its true. Its like this, If you buy a supra be prepared to have alot of little problems, if you want a crazy reliable Daily driver than this probably isnt the car for you. I love supras more than anything, but you gotta face the facts. You can avoid some major issues by careful driving, and alot of routine maintenance, but no matter what you will have issues. Only get a supra if your prepared to spend alot of time working on it. Its like this...They break you fix them its life. If you decide to get one, then major Props to you. These are great cars, absolutley amazing.
