hex bolts........ searched

well im trying to remove these dammed hex bolts and i cant i cant find a tool for them and i cnat get the toyta sst for them that the repair manual tells fables about so now im turing to you great tn'ers for some help! i need to get these bolts out so i can yank the head get it machined and replace the HG.

its those hex bolts that you see there in the picture coverd by all the crap ive already torn apart most of the engine need to get this so i can get this car ready for winter and doing some doughnuts

I found a bolt and a couple of nuts the same size, jammed the 2 nuts on one end and stuck the bolt head in as my giant allen key...voila, one SST.

I think those are around 12mm, but don't quote me, as it's been 5 years since I've had mine off...drop a couple of bolt heads in until you find one that fits...

Buy a large allen key that will fit into the hex, cut off approximately 1 1/2" from the long end, fit that piece into a socket and you're good to go. If I'm not mistaken, they're 14mm. HTH

ummm i cut mine, then took the cam cover off, then just turned them with a pair of pliers...and got some regular bolts that were tha same threading from home depot... and voillah!!
