I check this forum at least once per day. My name is Ben, and I am a supra-holic.
I bought my first supra, a dark blue 87 in the summer of 1988 for $$26,000cdn dollars. it has 67,000kms on it. I am the second owner, and she now has over 350,000kms on the clock, all on the original pistons, crank, block, etc. I did throw a new head on at 200,000kms, and she purrs like a kitten, perfect compression, with great mileage and performance to boot. I have been to more SOGI scheduled supra meets than i care to count, and more than any other person in north america. I went through my first and second BHG's before the internet was kewl to be on, and have learned vast amounts of knowledge since then.
I bought my second supra, a all white 1991 in the winter of 2000 for $$12,000cdn dollars, actually between xmas and new years. She had 90,000kms, and now has 140,000kms. The supra passed emission and certified without a thing, and except for filling with gas, a little oil, and a couple of oil changes, and bi-yearly checking of the brake pads, has needed nothing else.
both supras have similiar mods, which are a upgraded air filter, upgraded exhaust, some form of boost control, and a mildly upgraded stereo.
My current project is the refinishing of my silver painted 1995 mkiv 17" 5-stars, which i bought back in 1997. The first and only set of tires on those rims finally wore out, and i figured it was time for a change. I had each rim lip refinished, the whole rim sandblasted, then powder coated white as white can be. Next step is to get some new rubber, and get them installed on the 1991 supra. I also have some other bolt on mods purchased whih will go on before the snow flies.

Hi, I am running an 87 T all over the place and still having fun. I have had this Supra since September of 87. It now shows 167,000 miles on the odo and except for timing belt changes, and a new rad and hoses has had nothing else redone. Yesterday I put some 245/50 BFG g-force kd's on the rear. We will see how they work out. I wonder how far a Supra will go . I suppose a full rebuild should make it OK for another 200K,no? Nearly every gas fill is Sunoco 94.5 or better and the usual 3k oil changes. A quick trip down the highway to keep the blowoff valve opening up and the cobwebs out. Otherwise, nothing except a CD changer . I do have a couple of Mk lV items I have picked up and am thinking of upgrading the 7MGTE,but I am soliciting expert opinions on the practicality or folly of doing these mods. Supras are tough, they can withstand nearly anything, even a hammer jockey like me.
Hi...I'm also a supraholic. i have an 89T with 180K Kms on it. It has been through a bunch of different transformations. I still blame Ben and his brother Paul for getting me addicted to boost
I have owned this car for over 10 years and i went through the hks stages to stage 7 in about a years time.....since then the car now has a custom suspension built for the car with penske coilovers.....custom 4 piston calipers for brakes all around on 13.5" rotors..again built for the car. It now has a stand alone system. running dual bosch fuel pumps feeding 720cc injectors to run the full sp63 turbo kit including header and external hks racegate and so on..... and a few other mods as well.
Bought my Black, Grey int 86.5 supra with 175xxx miles on it for 1650
Body was perfect, motor was perfect. it had lame tires and a leaky PS hose on it. The motor was still suprisingly strong and didn't smoke...it jsut lacked the oomph I was looking for
Right now, I'm giving it a steroid injection.
91 JDM 7MGTE
3" turbo back
VPC/550's
agressive P&P
HKS 2.0 Stopper MHG
ARP head studs
NA cams
Possible NA intake swap (flows better)...still thinking about this one
ACT 6-puck sprung clutch
Aluminum driveshaft from driveshaftshop.com
Suspension has Illuminia II's and Sus Tech Springs, with Trust strut bars.
I still need to get tires, but thats after I get the motor in...probably go with G-Force KDW's

I'm Eric.... I got my first supra in 2000 it was a 89 NA then moved on to a 87T that was in mint cond. Have been moding that for the last year and a half.
Once again I blame Ben for getting me in to the nitty gritty. I have a bunch of goodies and just about every supporting mod I need to go to about 400 RWHP.
just need the turbo now
Jim jobe in Ohio makes an alluminum driveshaft for the mk3 supras. The cost is 350us plus shipping. All new parts, and gets rid of the center bearing as well. I have one at his place now for pickup if i can ever get down his neck of the woods.
Several guys have these shafts now, and the increase snappy torque is noticable. It is not a "must-have" mod, but every little bit helps.

Rupinder
Rupinder, your car is amazing. I saw it at one of the meets earlier this year, have you hit your goal yet?
