o/d light blinking

ok i searchd abit and didnt really find any help...

today i was driving and noticed the o/d ligt blinking. i stopped turnd the car off turnd the key and the light was blinking at a steady pace i counted 12 blinks and it just kept going, no pauses just steady blink every 1/4 of a second or something. i looked at the diag. codes and it says if it blinks steady then no thing is wrong. but why would it suddenly blink like that, never done it before.

is there a way to reset the o/d warning and see if a trouble code shows up, maybe i missed it while driving and it reset when i turned the car off?

i have noticed recently if im in high gear and floor it used to drop down 2 gears instantly. but lately it hesitates and then only drops one gear. is that a sign of a bad speed sensor maybe?

by some chance is your check engine light on as well?
to read the code, go take the car in DRIVE not overdrive---so the light comes on and then take it less than 50mph stop engine repeat....then jumper t and e1 and then take the ig switch to on....your light blinks out the code. I dont have my manual here with me but there are only like 5 codes it could read. I am sure someone out there knows the meanings of em--or ill be online in a while. after you do that---reset by neg terminal off for 10 mins or efi 15 amp out for 30 sec or on 86 and older stop 15amp fuse out for 30 seconds
