low/weak idle?

ok my 87 n/a has such a weak idle. when the car is first started and its warming up the idle is fine usually sits at 1200. but once its warm it drops way down to 500/600. its so weak it wont even more the car forward when in drive.

ive seen some posts saying theres an idle adjust screw but others saying thats for the cold start idle. some posts saying the computer controlls the idle and to reset it. ive reset the computer( - batter off for 10 minutes) and still no change. should i try the idle adjust screw, any pics of where it is exactly?

the idle screw is the screw that is facing the bumper ...not tha fenders...and it is right near tha throttle body, it is a little cylinder with a screw in it...turn tha car on, pull tha ebrake, and adjust
sorry i dnt hav pics

Idle Adjust Screw
ISC Valve (Idle Speed Control)
Dash-Pot

Any of the above could affect it. Keep in mind the factory idle is supposed to be something like 650. I held mine more like 900, but yeah, it's listed as 650 or 750.

Oh, you've got an automatic to boot.

Umm, if you can't put your foot down and the car moves, something is wrong and it's not your idle.
