I don't know all that much about MK4 Supas, hence why I joined this forum. What I am I curious to know is what is a reasonable price for stock decent condition under 100k mile 93-98 supra turbo 6 spd? I looked at KBB and NADA, and they priced a 93 Supra TT 6 spd w/ 50k in excellent shape at about $15k-18K. Now, I do understand there is such thing as supply and demand, and Im sure quite a few people could get much more than that. Looking on Autotrader.com, the average MK4 is about $28,000. I saw a few at the $70k range, and two ridiculously priced at $250,000. Now, I also saw quite a few at the $15-20k range. Is that too good to be true?
Look to what the car has to determine fair price. Owners who are selling a modified car are anticipating higher selling prices as they have done the work many others would do later. Some are out to lunch, expecting clearly 100% ROI, some are fairly reasonable asking only a few cents on the upgrade dollar. A stock vehicle around $15-25 would seem reasonable depending on condition and availablility in your area.
Are the modifications worth the money to go higher? I wouldn't personally purchase a modified vehicle with an unknown history, only in part because I think most people do it cheaply and don't really know what they are doing, and mainly because the car has likely had the crap driven out of it. I don't want someone else's money pit, so I tend to look to lower mileage stock cars, preferably having only one mature owner.
I would prefer an unmolested car. I too do not have faith in others abilities. And I would like to do things the right way, despite cost or time it takes to do that.
Automatic + N/A = Cheapest.
Automatic + Twin Turbo = Not so Cheap
6 Speed + N/A = Not so Cheap
6 Speed + Twin Turbo = $22,000-ish.
i hope you mean 5 speed NA or else youyd offend all of supraforums.com :P. Nah just playing. anyway the na 5 speeds are low priced as well, be sure to check out www.supraforums.com, they have a bunc hthere in the 15-20k range. even saw a 6 speed TT go for 20k not to long ago.
Again, prices are going to be a bit skewed from the general public, as places such as Supraforums draw out the enthusiest crowd, and discerning owners are likely to ask more than someone who has just as nice a car outside the circle.
Again, I have seen many for about $15-20K. I personally am only interested in the 6spd TT's. And I've seen those in that price range. Using kbb.com as a guide, I chose a 93 Supra TT 6 spd with 50k miles in excellent condition, it said private party retail is about $15k. Also, I am willing to travel within the US for a nice one.
Ok, I am retarded. I guess I should expect to pay, as stated above, about $22k+ for a twin turbo 6 speed. Well that sucks. Hmm. I could make my DSM run 9's for less. Hmmm... Well thank you all for your help!

It's a well known fact that you can buy a 1G AWD T DSM and make it run 11's for $8k. They're nice in that respect, much like the SRT4 (minus the fact it has that shitty FWD thing).
Mk4 Supras, like Macintosh's, are elite-ist cars. You own you, you probably paid a premium for it, or have lots of money in the bank to fund it. Besides that, having ridden in both there's a large difference, quality wise, between a DSM and a Mk4 Supra.
The TT 6Spd is the most highly desire of them because, well it's the Twin Turbo Manual. That and the Fast and the Furious fame it got.
As for the N/A 5Spd, I always forget that it had the W58 not the V160.
