geoff5093, when I say recall, I am referring to NHSTA's campaign ID number, which they themselves categorize as a recall, and consequently the dealer applies a fix whether you complain about it or not. Hence, recall number 06V096000 and 06V488000 affecting 133 and 160 vehicles, respectively. 06V488000 might be more applicable to Solaras.
I am not disagreeing that there are more owners who don't report a problem. I am saying we cannot impose our own experiences on others or imply that since I didn't have a problem, you wont either. I am on my third gen 5 Camry, the first one had no problems or complaints, the second one I successfully lemoned, and the one I have now I can't stand the transmission but other than that, no functional problems. Each Camry has a different ownership experience, each owner is affected or defines problems differently, so when someone asks what year or date is "ok", the only appropriate answer is "it depends", and
