Seriously. Considering GM's 6.6L Duramax is outputting 365hp/660lb-ft, Toyota will be looking to besting the Big 3 once again in performance figures.
Dodge's 6.7L Cummins is at 325hp/650lb-ft, while 5.9L HO Cummins is 325hp/610lb-ft.
Ford's 6.5L Powerstroke is at 350hp/650lb-ft, and due for replacement very soon. Ford will likely garner the power crown if Toyota has no answer.
Clearly Toyota will have to produce a large displacement diesel motor to really, seriously compete with the Big 3. 390hp/700lb-ft seems like an attainable target for a class leading HD truck.
