Spring on the inside whats wierd is when it overheats it seems to cool down really fast by lowering the rpm. I haven't had a car cool down that fast when overheating so I was also thinking maybe the sensor is finished. I was also thinking the water pump as a possible, but I wasn't totally sure, I was also thinking the head gasket could be doing it.
