The warning lamp is indeed an indicator that I have only 10 litres fuel left (according to mechanic). It is distinct from the low fuel icon. The poor fuel litre/kilometer is likely attributed to dusty airfilter given the type of off road miles that I have been doing. God news is probably okay to do one more trip, then in for a service. Setting off shortly, with plenty of water just in case. many thanks for your help.
