Lightbulb Finally got my suspension right (the Saga of the S-Tech Sag)

Freakin finally.

Stock: In front, fenders were about 2" above tires, rears about 1.5" (I thought it was 0.5", I was WRONG - rear wheel "tuck" hid the true height)

Try 1: Put on S-Tech springs, front was PERFECT, fenders were about 0.75" above tires, rear was 1" BELOW tires (CRAP).

Try 2: Put stock springs on back, see that the are almost 1" too high (crap)

Try 3: Go to advance auto and get some coil spring clamps. Tried to clamp a couple of the coils together, but I could not get it tightened down. There was not enough room in the coil to get in there.

Try 4: Cut 3/4 coil off rear springs - looks PERFECT. Until it settled after 100 miles, then the fender was 1" BELOW tires (CRAP again).

Try 5: Take those coil spring clamps I got from Advance Auto, turn them inside-out and make coil spring BOOSTERS (see picture). Put in S-Tech springs at lowest setting, still to high - by about 0.25"

Try 6: Jam the jack into the spring sideways, take out the boosters, take out a nut (0.25") put it back, NOW it's perfect. Again.

I'll get back to you if there is a try7.

Next project: rear spacers. 15mm I think. I'm thinking I'm going to take an angle grinder to the fenders intead of rolling them.
