The same thing happened with the Avalon - in 2005 it was rated at 280hp, for 2006 with the same engine (now in the Camry), it was rated at 268hp.
All this doesn't really mean much in terms of performance though - still the SAME engine, SAME performance - just different way the hp was measured. BTW- I heard that the IS350 was rated around 320hp before the new ratings came in and brought it to 306hp.
but yeah, like Hardpoint said, get a newer SE or IS350 - the old 1MZ and 3MZ series engines are no longer at the top of their class.

If you reflash the ECU and put in premium gasoline, would you still get 225 hp? The reason I'm asking is because although the Camry was re-rated to 210, the Lexus ES330 wasn't with the same engine, and Lexus requires premium. I have always put in premium into my SE V6, and when the ECU was updated from the dealer, I felt more power than before.
