Sorry, I can't offer any hints or tips for changing the timing belt but I can offer some encouragement....you're gonna save yourself a bundle of cash doing the job yourself! I just had the timing belt, water pump, all drive belts, tensioners, both camshaft seals, and thermostat replaced and it cost me almost $900. And it wasn't even done at the dealership

I'm telling you, that was painful but I plan on keeping this truck till I'm too old to drive any longer so I'll get my money's worth...Good luck with the job!
