I don't understand, you said he beat you on reaction time and you would have won if it were a full 1/4, but the person with the slower RT has a better 1/8 time. So did you win or lose?
2.5 60' has some definite room for improvement. How were your launches? Lots of wheelspin, or bogging?
Also, don't drive through the water they put down before you stage. Go around it.
Try heading up to Moroso for a test n tune night. You'll see some REAL quick cars out there.
