i did houston race way 1/4 mile in my streep/strip 68 rs/ss, first time was really intimidating (not to mention i didnt check first and showed up on test and tune night for ford frolic weekend) just relax, take a deep breath and enjoy. something i did with that car and you may wanna do if you plan to do alot of drag is to go get a set of dot drag radials even on steelies for track nite, only need the two front and they help alot. first run on regular and wider street radials was in the 14's with wheel spin to the end, slapped in the dot drags and ran 11's the rest of the night and only spun about 1/3 of the way down... (sold the car before we got the rear dialed in) but they were a pain on the street, got enough traction once or twice on the streets to pop wheelies... never a good idea...lol
