Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Fellas, i have a 1991 non turbo MR2. It was just reciently in the shop for new A/C, i had to get a new compressor, and condenser, everything. it cost me 1000$. As soon as i got it out of the shop the dumbass mechanic says "i don't think its running right" when i got in and tried to take off it would only let me rev out to 2000 RPM then it would bog down back to idle, and so on as long as i kept the gas on. so i took it to the local toyota dealer and they told me that it was the "Throttle Body Motor" i didn't even know these cars had a throttle body motor. I thought it was just that cable. anyway they told me that it was going to cost $1000( which i don't have) to fix. so as far as im concerned they can go themselves.

i figure i have 2 options.
A) I swap the 3sgte into it.
B) I pay to fix something that i didn't even know existed.

I say option A, Please any input or suggestions would be great.

It sure sounds to me like they're trying to sell you blinker fluid. I can't get to it at the moment 'cause my work firewall blocks the site but you could check the BGB at mr2-tech.com.

You could also call another Toyota Stealership and see if they can sell you a throttle body motor.

Does the engine still bog if you open up the throttle by hand?

If the car didn't run like that before you took it into the shop to have the AC repaired I'd bring it back to them and get them to make it right.

I dont suggest you keep trying "random shit" like that, you're going to mess up your motor or at the very least.. warp your head. Relax, what I would do is go back to the shop that did your a/c and tell them the problem and that they fucked up your car and they should pay up or fix it, if not.. threaten to sue. If your anything like me.. you dont want to be paying $1000 for something that wasn't broken before you went to the shop, especially when $1,000 can buy you lots of nice shit for your car......

Don't do anything else to the car before you bring it back either. If you do they'll say you created the problem and you'll have a harder time getting it taken care of.

BTW- since the motor does the same thing when you open the throttle up by hand that's proof that they're mis-diagnosing it.

It's funny though when is was trying to drive it today whenever i made a hard right turn the motor gained RPM like it started to run like it should but when i turned left or when i got stright it started to bog. so do you think it could be a vacume hose that they could have hit when they were fixing my AC and also my fan runs all the time and i've never heard it run before, i don't know if that could have anything to do with it. Any Ideas?

The "Throttle Motor" could be the ICV.
Check disturbutor and coil. A dying coil will have weak spark when hot.
