No power on cold startup

Hi fellow MR2ers,

Last week I replaced my AE91 with a N/A SW20 MR2. It's a fun car except for one problem. In the morning when I turn it on, it idles rough for about minute, it also has no power during this time so I can't really drive it. After one minute, the idle and power are fine. Any ideas what this could be?

I would suspect the cold start injector but wouldn't that make the actual starting of the car harder? It is not any harder to start however cold it is, it just has no power and has a rough idle. BTW cold is not ice cold, I live in a tropical country.

u should always let the engine get up to normal operating temps before driving hard...its normal with most cars....
