steering wheel

Hey guys, I'm installing an aftermarket steering wheel on my 2. I have removed the steering wheel already but is stuck at the part of the column of that wheel thing where the airbag and the cruise controls is hooked to. Do I just cut the yellow wire that is suppose to hook up to the airbag? it's useless anyway because my airbag is not working. If you have detail steps or know where I can search that would be great. Thanks.

If you don't intend on ever using the airbag again then you can just cut it.

Otherwise you can trace the wire back and disconnect it.

Don't forget to disconnect your battery before doing any of this! (duh)

Yes I did disconnect the battery arcasmachineracing. Thanks for the reminder though. One other question, what about the horn. I thought that there was suppose to be a metal surface that the aftermarket hub adapter grind on but there isn't one when I took out the column. I know that there is a harness that hooks up to the cruise control. Would that have the wires for the horn? If it does I can just tap it but not sure.

Long story.... but I might need some sort of cutting device.

You can have it as is.... I might need to get that thing off first though. This picture also doubles as a "clubs don't work at all" thread.
