Question about snap oversteer.

Ok for some time I have been searching and looking for the "perfect car" well obveously it does not exsist. I have even gone as far as to compile a data base of over 50 cars, that has darn near any spec you could ever want to know about each.

I was set on a Supra but, that would take every penny of my funds and then all I would have is a nice, but stock Supra. (MKIV turbo) So then I looked at a Fairlidy, eh nice but getting to be pretty common in some area's like mine back home, plus there VG30DETT engine is stuffed in there so tight you dang near have to pull the engine to do anything to it!

I currently own a 1990 AWD Eagle Talon TSi / Eclipse GSX so maintance and turbocharged engines are nothing new to me, but im growing pretty tired of AWD. Dont get me wrong I still love it and dont plan on ever selling it. But I must have something else that is turbo, great handeling and RWD. (and that looks better)

So now im looking at the MR2, and I like it, alot seems to meet all the criteria for what I have been looking for, that being said. Im only concerned about three things. Finding one with low miles and in good shape, right price and correcting the snap over steer "problem" untill I have some time with it under my belt.

It is a "problem" for me because I have a pretty agressive driveing style, dont get me wrong though I do give myself a while to get used to a car before I start driveing agressively (about a yr). And im not big on street raceing, I hate it for the most part so most of it would be on a track.

So now to the point, what can done to help to make the car more neutral? Also what are the stock limitations of the engine? and how much power can the stock engine take before you have to replace connecting rods and what not.

I hear that there engines hate modification which also concerns me, because DSM's (eclipse/talon/laser/3000GT's) are easy as crap to mod, they love it and dont raise any fuss.

Snap oversteer does not exist.

This is a term used to blame driver error on the car.
It basically excuses the driver for overcorrecting an oversteer situation which I am have done many times and I am quite comfortable admitting it was my fault.

Huge tires out back and you can play with the strut settings (if adjustable), the alignment and tires pressures. The 93+ have a slightly different suspension geometry that is a bit more neutral.

I'm at 440 rwhp on a stock 202,500 mile engine with the only internal mod being cams.

I suspect the more you read about the MR2 the more you realize it is one of hte most capable sports cars out there ... especially for the price.
