Question early limiter

i put in the hks fcd last week and also put in a ko racing exhaust and im boosting 15psi. i have the setting on the fcd at 7 like it says to do and the car is it is hitting rev limiter at 6200. the weird thing is when the tak is at 6200 the engine sounds like its a 7200. and ive reset the computer and everything. last night i changed back to the stock bov from the hks and the car is still diong the same rev limiter thing at 6200 and it even hit some kind of rev limiter when i shifted into third gear at wot but this time it hit it at 5800. any advide to wut is wrong would be greatly appreciated

thanks sean

If you installed the FCD and things changed ... I would first look at your work there.
Are you sure you installed it correctly?

Also, I think setting "7" eliminates fuel cut.
Setting 9 raises fuel cut to 17 psi.

If you want to completely eliminate fuel cut, there is no reason to have an FCD.
You can just cork the vac line to the MAP sensor for free ~ no more fuel cut and no more factory boost gauge (with is worthless anyway).

i checked all the wires to see if anything was slack but there wasnt. I thinkin maybe it could be doing that because when i had my hks bov on the car was running really rich i switched back to the stock bpv and im not running so rich anymore but im still hitting that limiter. J&H are u 100% sure if i change the setting to 9 on the fcd the fuel cut is going to be at 17psi cuz i would rather have it at setting 9 than at setting 7 if that is the case

I am not 100% sure.

I would search on mr2oc.com for posts from billwot on this OR e-mail him.
He would know for absolute certainty.

I never bother with FCDs so I do not know for sure.

It does not make sense that it was the BOV/BPV swap since you had the issue BEFORE you swapped back (if I am understanding your initial post correctly).
