Unless you're making big power, you don't need a high performance clutch. I had mine replaced at a local transmission shop last year for about 600 bucks. It is not something you want to do yourself unless you're a pretty accomplished mechanic.

Aww, I was a novice when I did my clutch job, and it came out fine. You can't go wrong when you have the factory repair manual handy.

Buy an OEM clutch from partznet.com or something. Those things are extremely durable. If you only need the clutch disc, it'll be pretty cheap. If there's nothing wrong with your old pressure plate, have it resurfaced by a good machine shop.

If you don't plan on turboing your car, don't upgrade the clutch. The OEM unit is excellent for everyday use. If you plan on racing every weekend, an upgrade might help longetivity, but don't expect any miracles.
