What is up with the 91-96 MR2 GT-S??

I have always ask my self what is the difference between the Turbo V.S. GT-S . I know both are turbo but the GT-S claims to have 241 HP and the Turbo has only 200 hp .

is this right or is just a trim Toyota used in japan?? and in case someone is going did MR2's where made in 96 i got that from Gran turismo cuz they are some MR2 that are from that year ...

Whaaaaaaa?!
You think a 25% gain in power is not much different?
That's huge.

But anyways, that trim never made it to the US.
Here it's either Turbo or not.
In Japan they've had GT, GTS, GL, SE, and LE MR2s.
Probably more.
We never get any of the cool stuff that Japan has, even the trim designation =(

From my knowledge there isnt much difference between the us and japanese. other than ECU (GTS more aggeressive fuel map utilizing high octane fuels) no EGR and bilstein suspension package options during dealership purchases. a gts is basically a US spec once its on the regular pump gas.
