my question is: do the kiddies over there like getting USDM parts since it makes them 'different' than everyone else around? i mean, maybe we could do some sort of parts exchange or something goofy like that!
The JDM thing isnt all that big of a deal with MR2 owners. There are only like 1 or two items that are better/different on the jap cars so getting them is not really worth the trouble. The only JDM part I would have interest in would be climate control.

reason for me asking that ? is because me and some of my friends was hangingg out one nite on the town and decided to go by the cruise ships and some tourist guys came running to our cars like they saw jesus or something they were so amused with my friends skyline gtr that they started to take pictures!!!then another reason why i ask, i was cruising one nite decided to boost my mr2 then i came of the gas because i had to stop to a red light then all of a sudden these dudes came to my car like they wanted to jack me LOL and by the way they were tourist !
I'm another who couldn't give a rat's ass about JDM. It seems to be that it's all about getting something few have and then flaunting it in front of people who are easliy impressed.
I don't care for it either. I think it's kinda funny when guys put Honda badges on their Integras and RSXs, or Altezza badges on their Lexus IS. It's still the same car, what's the big deal?
one thing good about JDM in the MR2 world and i think you guys would agree with me are the 3sgte engines for having a higher horsepower rating at stock. but i think it does not take that much to equal the USDM 3sgte to the JDM. this is mostly due to emission restrictions in the states, i think..
The only item I would get that came on JDM vehicles is the cup holders. Seen em on ebay for 150 bucks, way too much. JDM is rip.
ditto that. but it's supply and demand...they're not easy to come by... I paid only $80.00 for mine, and I thought that was outrageous...they know that got you... sux!
