Can anyone tell me from experince if $300 CAN for a pair of door panels "ONLY" is kinda high?
They are in pretty good shape.
A wreacker stated he got this price from a crash book and that new were 700.00 each? I didn't phone Toyota's parts lines are down and can't get through.
Always get a quote from another yard and from a dealership, but chances are that if he had to check the book, he either priced it up a little bit, or priced it down a little bit.

Thanks CompanyFlow, I will check around a bit more. There's not many running (2s) as I live on Vancouver Island and there's no parts cars about. The one wrecker brought them in from the mainland. So I feel I'm in between a rock and a hard place for parts. I tend to think if their 700 each, it wouldn't be a bad deal. It's the $700 each new that sounds like BS (mind you that's Toyota prices I would bit)? Thanks again CF.
Those door panels are hideously expensive. If I recall correctly a friend of mine paid $200 for one with the switches.
Yah, I think your right. I paid $200 for just master switch (new), so with both as you stated, not bad. I also think this dude is tring to fish me in...700.00 bucks new has to be BS. I Sent out e-mails for quote prices if any. It just kinda sucks to think that the ones he has for 150.00 each will just rot away.
Thanks for you comment man.
Jim
Nothing you buy from a salvage yard is brand new. It may be in brand new condition, but they never get anything from the dealer still in the original packaging and stuff. A dealership may charge you that much for a door panel, but theres no point in ever going to a dealership for any reason, except for things like wiring and stuff.

Your right.. I did buy the switch becouse there's no (2s) parts avail around here. I can understand your point...Unless theres a mech requirement to get the wheels turning. I should just hold off until... "shell" I say, the price is right or a least not help these guys into early retirement.
Have you checked the buying/selling forums on the various MR2 sites to see if you can find one of the appropriate color being parted out? That might be your best bet at finding a decent price, even with having to pay shipping.
I actually know a guy parting out his 2, what color interior do you have? Drop me a PM if you'd like me to check with him and I'll see if his door panels are intact. (Car was in a nasty front end collision.)

Hey, not to hijack the thread, but here I go. Gairloch, what else is your friend getting rid of?
It's not a friend, I'm buying his motor and exhaust. He's been fantastic to deal with so far. I'll find out if he's interested and getting rid of more of the car and if so put his info out.
