The class was called Intro to Racing, it lasted about 3hrs. 1st hour was in the class room laerning the basics dynamics of the car, cornering, braking, and driving the car efficiently. The next 15min we took a pee brake and learned how to get in the car and strap ourselves in properly. The next 15min we auctually got in the car, let me tell it is tight if you have closterphobia this wwill be a test for you, one guy could not do it no refund!!! After you are strapped in you get on the track, what happens is you follow the pace(dodge neon srt turbo) car around the track in groups of threes. It might sound kind of lame but its not the guys driving the car are actual race car drivers. At first it took a bit to getr use to the car but I realized that the pace car is a street car and I'm in a race car after that niiiiiice!!!!!!! The cars weighted about 1500lbs and had a modified neon motor in the with a 4 speed. My wife gave me it for a Birthday gift and she had a blast as well they let her drive in the pace car. I got up to about 100mph on the straight way.... I should get a discount for putting this here, anyone out there???

What kind of experience do you have with racing? Do you feel like you learned much from it?

thats sounds interesting and fun. the price ain't too bad...I would've thought you'd go faster than 100 though. I go faster than that on the interstate and on these country back roads...did you (they) any pics? and what exacty did you learn as far as handling a car at high speed?

Don't need to go too much over 100mph on a road course for it to be a thrilling experience. That's plenty fast to cost you life and/or limb if you screw up bad enough. It's absolutely nothing like going that fast on a freeway which is buillt like a "driving lines for dummies" course.

my first expierence racing a car like this.....you would not want to go more than a 100mph in these unless you race quite often.....it is alot different than driving a stock mr2 its alot lower and you feel more of the road alot tighter also....when you follow the pace car they take you into the corners properly you learn the different types of corners after a while.
