Question on 1991 MR2 Turbo

I'm new to ToyotaNation and I have a question to ask all the MR2 fanatics here.

I'm interested in getting a 1991 MR2 Turbo, but I noticed it doesn't have foglights.
I searched the web for info and options for that year but couldn't find anything worthy.
I've found pictures of MR2 Turbos with foglights and some Turbos without them. So I'm asking you guys for help. Did all 1991 MR2 Turbos come with foglights or was the foglight an option for 1991? Thanks for your help.

It was an option. You can add them after the fact but that involves changing out the bumper and getting ahold of the lights.

yea i have a 91 turbo with out fog lights

Same with me, a '91 hardtop turbo with no fogs. Many people didn't believe me when I told them it wasn't an N/A to turbo swap. Eventually, I installed the stock fogs - looks cool!

Were you able to do it with the bumper you had or did you have to swap it out? Was the wiring harness already there?

I don't know about 4DMR2t but my fog wiring harness was sitting there tucked in the front, waiting for deployment. I had to have the corner slats cut to install the lights, the slats were semi-perforated so it was easy.

mine came with foglights

Mine already had the harness and relays in place. I only needed the actual fog lights and switch. I actually replaced my bumper with a bumper already fitted with fog lights, but it's pretty easy to just cut the slots and add the lights.

Anyone know if NA's have the harness also, or is it just turbos that are thusly blessed?

it seems like it's hit or miss with the harness and relay. My buddy's NA came with them, but I know a few others who weren't so fortunate.

I guess you just have to check yours out to see.
