is the 05 rolla xrs faster than the MR2t!??!?!?!

Well today I was almost all day at the drag strip looking at cars racing(drag strips is like 15-25 mins from home ) and i saw this 05 Corolla XRS and he was going head 2 head with my friend's SRT-4 !!!!!! the SRT-4 was doing 14.76 and the XRS was doing 14.78

as a toyota fan (and owner of a auto 05 rolla S) i was proud for the Corolla xrs. So i walk up to the guy of the XRS and ask him WTF have you done to this car he told me he had : intake,ECU maping change,Racing clutch ,Injectors, short shifter, header, exhaust system, and crank and pulley. I was really impressed and mad cuz well.......... HIS CAR IS FASTER THAN MY 92 MR2 TURBO!!!!!!! so does anyone know how is this possible... . THX

Looks like his car with mods is running roughly what your car without mods should be capable of ...

Good Driver vs Bad driver?

Because that doesn't sound right. The XRS is heavy and slow......

And it doesnt have as much HP either. That XRS with those mods are fairly close to what your car (in good working condition, and not with that turbo leak you have) should run. Fix it, then kill his pride.

The xrs isnt heavy or slow by any means. They only weight like 2900 pounds (200 more then the celica gts) and uses the same engine too. sure it isnt 14's stock like turbo two's can are, but for a family go getter .. i'd say thats pretty darn fast.

I thought SRT-4's were capable of 13s Stock. That driver sucked or that wasn't an SRT...
