Hey thanks for compliments!

MRQturbo: there are small mods done to Red mr2 like twos r us MBC, apexi intake, HKS SSQ, running 15 psi. with alot of messing up i did 14.20 at the track. hoping for better next time. other mods are just body and sound system.
and white one is completly stock exept for greddy BOV.

JekylandHyde: yea I am on mr2oc for a while now my name is amr2 there. and i live in north east philly. funny thing is i don't see any mr2s here and here i go with 2 lol. I missed bear mountain meet because i was picking up white mr2.
and I got a question for you. if you can email me what setup you were running up to this point i would really apriciate. i know your engine is coming out this winter what are u planing to do to it if not a secret.
my new mr2s engine is coming out for winter too and i am trying to figure out what to do to it while it's out.
my email is acid_k09@hotmail.com (acid_k09) thanks!!!

MR2BAD: yes both mr2s are currently turbo. Red was 91 NA swaped with 92 USDM enigne. and white is just stock 91 Turbo.

My "set up" has constantly been changing for the last 4 years
I have no secrets. I am very upfront with what I am doing at all times.

Over the winter we are installign a new engine. It will be an ATS Racing 2.2 liter stroker with oversized valves. It should be fun revving to 8500 rpms.

If I may ask a dumb question. stroker? I guess has to do with the length of the stroke? if so, would that be shorter or longer stroke? or am I way off?

Stolen from strokermotor.com

Quote:
What is a Stroker Motor?

A stroker motor is an engine that utilizes a different crank to achieve more displacement with the same engine block. An engine fitted with an altered crankshaft that has a larger stroke increases the engine's size without increasing the size of the block.

MR2BAD, the easy way to stroke the 3SGTE is to use the crank from the 5SFE.
It requires a bit of machinging on the crank, but it fits and turns your 2.0 liter into a 2.2 liter.
How would you like 10% more engine?
It does this by stroking (pulling) the piston down farther so the combustion chamber is physically larger.

Wasted Youth, my complete 1/4-mile history is here:
http://www.jekylhyderacing.com/slips.htm
If you start from the bottom and work your way up you can follow the changes.

I ran my first 11s two years ago with:
T3/T4 turbo, GReddy IC, water injection, K&N intake, Tanabe B-pipe and open exhaust tip.
Aeromotive adjustable FPR, SAFC, VPC, 550 cc injectors, Spec stage 3 clultch, 255 drag radials, TRD motor mounts, MSD ignition & blaster coil, ATS CV joints ... all supporting 22 psi of boost.

... and lots and lots of practice.
More important than modifications is track time to learn how to launch well and shift fast.

OK, so basically, I was right, the stroke is a bit longer drawing in more air and fuel. and hell yeah, i would love 10% more engine...
