Funny you should ask, you will be able to see me race Sunday, but not at Englishtown.
I was originally going to go there, but (a) I can't stand brackets and (b) I am 90% sure my headgasket is leaking.

This is the deal, a bunch of us (MR2 owners), are going out for the official KILL HYDE DAY .
No one in the world has documented a 10-second 1/4-mile pass in an MR2 with the original engine. The last time out I went 11.1 @ 123 with 22.8 psi of boost.

My tuner just "guestimated" a fuel/timing map for up to 30 psi of boost.
So we are all going out to Island Dragway in New Jersey to keep pushing boost from 23 psi up until either a 10-second pass happens or the engines pops.

Either are possible seeing as I did the 11.1 with the oil light on and the engine overheating We are trying to give this engine a well-deserved send off.

So, you are (and everyone else) are invited to come out and watch the destruction whether it be on the clock or the tracks

Hahahaha awesome! Thats great, but 30 psi on a leaking head gasket?! Wow... you really are trying to destroy that engine

Wish i could watch it, ill just have to read about it. Good luck on being the first to run 10s in an MR2 with an original engine!

One question: will your two step build more boost than before (i think it was 20 psi before right?) cause that might affect how the launch goes. Just curious.

I'm not sure how the 2-step will respond ... my guess is that it can only build so much boost with the "fictional" laod the 2-step puts on it. I f I was set for 23 psi and could make 20 at the line I would think I would only make 20 at 30 psi as well.

Dunno.

There will be lots of video either way
