Go ahead and buy a MKI sc. It will cost less in the long run, plus they;re going for no more than $3500. That extra $1500 can really make a difference in modding. If you swap the engine out, the shop will charge you anywhere from 500-1200 depending on how much fabrication has to be done, this is on top of the car's price and new engine. An SC is the cheaper route.

with a 5 g budget..you may be able to find a decent turbo..as for making it fast..you'll need a bit more money to do so...

ok well the sc mr2 weighs leik 600 pounds more then a non sc. so i thinking if i bought a normal na mr2, or even one with no motor or tranny, and buy a 3sgte jdm motor and tranny and ecu and wireign harness. then i coudl have liek 240 hp to a 2000 pound car. but would that work. i am totaly capable fo doing engine swaps so i dont need to pay a shop. beocsue i found a mr2 with no motor and no trany for 200 bucks. but i was curiseu if i coudl do lieka twin turbo thing. if so i was wondering if i could have a sc and a turbo then. i dont know if it can eb done, but i dont know why it wouldnt eb able to. so give me soem feed back please.
