hey guys, im pretty sure youve all gotten this thread before, well here goes. Ive had my 1993 mr2 turbo for about a month and a half its got 80000 on the engine. Yesterday i noticed a drop in performance and looked at my oil that i replaced a month ago. It was completly empty. no leaks it all burned up. my friend also was behind me and he said he saw a little bit of smoke come out of my exhaust shifting from 1st to 2nd. since yesterday ive burned up a half a quart. Someone pls give me a little help before i get a compression check.

loss of oil could be due to many things. leaking gasket(s) or oil line, worn rings, worn valve seals, a leak some where else. if it were rings I would think you would be seeing blue smoke all the time. run a compression test and that will tell you if it's the rings..
Did you get the car for an unreasonably good deal? If you've had it less than a month, you might want to talk to the seller and see what they have to say.
my oil sensor is broken off, and my oil pressure light did come on, and i got the car for 10000, the previous seller was a old man who i doubt ragged on it, but he did say it leaked a little oil. but not as much as i know im burning. turbo sounds a little wierd now that i thik about it. i live up in harford county.
