I'll offer no excuses although I have some
It was pathetically busy at the track so I only had 3 attempts:

Run #1
25.5 psi of boost
1.65 = 60' (missed 2nd)
11.5 @ 123 mph

Run #2
26.8 psi of boost
1.68 = 60' (hit 2nd, but lost all boost and bogged)
11.6 @ 125.75 mph (obviously plenty of power for a 10 second pass).

Run #3
27.8 psi of boost
1.9 = 60' (*see below)
12.4 @ 124 mph

*I'm not sure, but I think I made the error I used to make when I started hitting 1.7s. I think I launched with my hand on the shifter and yanked it out of gear

Some vids:
Huge smokey burnout:
http://www.jekylhyderacing.com/image...agway_2005.mpg

11.5 @ 123:
http://www.jekylhyderacing.com/image...agway_2005.mpg

After talking to NoShoes, we miss communicated (I'm a dumbass) on our throttle pump settings (fuel addded or subtracted on shifts) and I killed those setting on the last run hence the lower mph with more boost.

I was having major 1->2 on all 3 runs.
Even when I got it right it wasn't happy

Somethings to note:

*On run #2 Hyde was idling for well over an hour. We couldn't shut the car off because my dinky battery was having a fit. After an hour+ of idling, doing a burnout, I started a data log. Intake temps in the manifold were 38 degrees C.By 1/2 track they were 28 degrees C and by the finish they were 38C again. I guess the trunk mount works.

*Hyde is currently running the same as he was. Just overheating at the top of the track. He did not flinch running 27.8 psi ... wish I would have done it all year

The year IS done. Hyde is parked for the winter.
I'm going to take a nap ... this year, although awesome, has kicked my ass.

What's in store for the winter for Hyde:

1. ATS 2.2 stroker with oversized valves. I was hoping we would see 550+ rwhp @ 25-30 psi, but it is my understanding that my fuel system is not going to be able to support that. I may be looking at upgrading the fuel system over the following year. It's not in the budget this time around. The ATS engine should make pwoer 500 or so rpms sooner and spin to 8500 rpms.

2. Some new suspension pieces: Sustec brace for under the front, new strut tower bar up front in combo with my TRD and I hope to have arear bar fabbed that will clear my IC pipes (doubtful). Also hoping to get new struts.

3. SS brake lines, rebuild calipers, maybe new pads and rotors.

4. Find a solution to the constantly breaking rear sway bar tabs.

5. Resolve my IC fan issues. (just a bunch of rewiring).

6. Safety stuff: Harness bar on the roll bar needs to be moved and I may look into having my bar completed into a cage. Maybe doing a full fire suppression system instead of my dinky 2.5 lb extinguisher.

7. 3/4" longer wheel studs.

8. Rebuilding my spare set of axles with ATS CV upgrades to have on hand for backup.

9. New vinyl for some new sponsors

10. Maybe get a bigger front lip and sideskirts to kill some air flo. Anyone got something cheap, used, light and black?

11. Hopefully find a solution to my 275s rubbing the inside of the car.

12. Alignment (it's only been 3 years )

13. Install an external kill switch (ign & alt).

14. Instsall boost gauges that goes to 30 psi.

15. Install new, better roll bar padding from Safe Drives.

I really, really hope that is all ...

Yeah, that's the 2-step rev limiter.

If you look at me 11.1 video here:
http://www.mr2ownersclub.com/mr2records/drag.htm
... it's at night and you can see the flames shooting out from under the car

I am not quite getting my front wheels up ... I just yank the front end up real hard

It is the original turbo engine (3SGTE) that came in the car.

We have an engine being built, so we threw caution to the wind on this last track day.
The engine that is in the car is completely original except for the cams (still original valves and springs).

It has 202,800 original miles on it.

And yes, we ran 27.8 psi on it

Jeff, I'd hate you if you didn't kick so much ass! Miss second and still run 11.5. Jerk.

Congrats on the season and good luck next year. I'm sure it's just gonna keep getting better.

The video in this thread was against a Celica.
A bunch of people from the Celica forums came out for this event.
