MR2 aw11 VS. 944

Hi..

Im about to buy car, as I just sell my Mini. Im looking two cars, bought eighties olden goldies or should I say retro rockets. Toyota MR2 (aw11) and Porsche 944 2.5 na.
Could you tell me why to go on the Toyota? I like'm bought, know allmost everything about them, but still, its hard decision to make. It's going to be daily transport in cold long winter...
So, Im all ears and eyes...

The MR2 will (probably) be a whole asswhack cheaper to maintain then the Porsche and the parts will be more easily available.

ditto with the others.. if you got deep pockets and don't mind the 944 being down when something goes wrong while you're waiting/searching for parts then go with the Porsche. other than that, the practicle buy would be the AW11. more reliable, cheaper to maintain, parts more readily available and a kick to drive.

Not only cheaper, but Porsche parts (especially old ones) are near impossible to find let alone buy. I've worked ona few and just finding air filters and regular maintenance parts is a pain.

I would buy the AW. I regret selling mine. Do a quick and easy engine swap to the red top and you'd be impressed at how fast they can go. Great handling in the twisties once you get some Tokico Illuminas. I would highly recommend one.
