Looking for MK2 91-93 na or turbo 5spd

What's up guys, just wanna say that you all have amazing toys.
I'd love to find one too.
I'm on the east coast(new england) and am looking for an MR2 91-93 na or turbo.
I'd love to find one thats a manual trans with t-tops.
I'm on a some what of a budget($4500).
Can any one help me out?
I keep on finding a bunch but they're all the way out on the west coast.
I'm willing to go up and down the east coast for one.But not too far west.
Any help/links would be appreciated.
thanks

Do you want a complete car or do you want a shell to do a jdm conversion? I have a fair condition shell that needs a little body work but is otherwise near complete; everything but motor and tranny. It was originally an automatic. You can get a N/A motor conversion for about a grand or a turbo for 2 grand. Car is located near roanoake, virginia. I'm personally looking to get rid of it for around 500 bucks.

Looking for more of a whole than a shell, if I still had my garage(only have driveway) I'd be up for it.
But I'd like something thats functioning, i'll mod it out along the way.
thanks for replying so fast.

Shouldn't be too difficult to find one through cars.com or carsoup.com. Mr2oc.com also has a marketplace where people advertise their cars also.

Now the big question...(i'm sure its been asked, I'll search the threads later)
What would I need to do A jdm swap?

Would a JDM post 1991 engine fit in my 1991 n/a engine compartment?
Any step by step info.
But that's all for later.
Thanks again guys.

Just a few pointers for things to look at:

1. What kind of shape is the body in, especially the rumble strips?

2. How good are the syncros? (known weak point)

3. Are there any visible oil leaks?

4. Does the car fart blue smoke on start up? (valve seals are infamous for leaking when cold)

5. Is there any odd behavior when turning that might indicate problems with the strut mounts?(infamous)

6. Are the strut replacements OEM or something else? Either way, make sure you test the drivability, mixxed suspension components = bad juju.

7. How does the car look underneath for rust?

8. Do both windows and door lock switches work? (Wiring harness in drivers door also infamous)

9. Does the brake master cylinder still feel strong under heavy braking? (Had to replace mine a month after I got the car)

10. When you take the car to get checked out make sure that they test the wheels for play which might indicate issues with ball joints or wheel bearings.

11. If it's a T-top what kind of shape are the seals in? Any leaking?

If you search here and at mr2oc.com you will find gobs and gobs and great greasy gobs of information on motor swaps.

EDIT: I keep thinking of things to add to the list
