Lightbulb HKS VPC Conversion

Now aren't the HKS VPC and PFC CON both universal, but just need specific harnesses to hook up to an individual car? Or is it where you have you to buy one specific module model to suit a certain make of car?

I had a PFC F-CON on my '94 WRX in Japan. Each version of the PFC F-CON has a different chip inside for that specific car, (ie: my PFC F-CON was WRX Wagon specific) so to the best of my knowledge both the chip inside and the harness are what change from car t car.

As far as the VPC, your guess is as good as mine.
