2nd Generation How low do i go?

I have a 92 mr2, i recently bought a set of staggered rims (17X7 F and 17X9 R w/ 38mm offset) I know i am going to roll the fenders, but i was also thinking about dropping the car about 1.6" Will this be too much, HOW LOW CAN I GO?

1.6" drop is fine, but I wouldn't go much lower than that.

Coil-overs would be the only way to achieve any lower than that, and why would you want to go that low anyways?

i got 2 inch H & R coilovers and its painfully low. i would recommend it if you can sacrifice a little comfort for style. hugs the turns real well.

I was going to do lowering springs, probably sportline, either a 1" or 1.6" drop, with kyb shocks. WHat do u think about that?

I don't remember where it was, mr2oc.com maybe, but I was just reading a thread about how anything more than an inch changes the suspension geometry pretty dramatically.
