Best upgrades for MR2 MK2 N/A ???

I have just finished paying off my MR2 Mark 2 N/A WOOHOO!!! and would like to make some upgrades to improve it's performance. I am not expecting massive gains but what could I expect from a new exhaust system and induction kit? Any particular makes that are good? I don't want to spend silly money. I was looking at a Mongoose exhaust and K&N air filter. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

my advice would be to upgrade the suspension and brakes. don't even bother with the engine unless you're REALLY prepared to do some work. header, cams, high compression pistons, headwork, intake manifold, and EMS would net good gains. but yes, as suggested above, get on mr2oc.com. there is a TON of information on there. do a search in the MKII n/a section for any possible mod you're planning on.

suspension and brakes will help your car to be faster around a road course than many cars with twice the power. i was able to outrun S2000's and run totally even with STi's on the Streets of Willow in my relatively stock n/a (before i swapped it).
