2nd Generation 92 mr2 gen3 swap

Hi,
I just bought a gen3 swap for my mr2. And it looks sweet with only 32k on it. Just wondering how much hp can I get out of this engine with the mods that i am buying for it.

intake, cam gears, cams, tanabe downpipe, and boost controller. all HKS
KO Racing exhaust.

Thank you, Troy

i dont believe the gen 3 has a turbo so the boost controller really wont do much unless your talking about a jdm motor?
the jdm moter come with about 40extra hp over the american ones
what psi will you be running it at and what turbo do you have?
hydes 2 has over 400 rwhp with stock internals exept the cams, i think

correct me if im wrong anyone
only trying to help

Cams and cam gears aren't really going to do much for you at that power level. How much boost do you plan on running?? Why did you choose the HKS intake (proven to have horrible filtration and not flow any better than other brand filters)?? My guess would be between around 225-250whp depending on what boost you run. You should sell those cams and buy an intercooler

I agree with Ish^

those cams will do little more than make your knock sensor go crazy (depending on the lift). The engine will retard timing and all that power you thought you would make will be lost by your engine's blow up prevention system.

An intercooler at this point in the game would be far superior to those cams. Get more power and reliablility, go with the intercooler.
