SW20 Turbo Swap...

What is the differnce between this turbo and the stock turbo? I need specifics.. like which one is bigger smaller, better worse, power and everything.. what do these numbers mean?

HKS GT2540R
Compressor
Wheel - 46 Trim 51.7 Inducer / 76.2 major
Housing - 60 inlet / 50 outlet, 0.50 a/r

Turbine
76 Trim 53.8 Major / 47 Exducer
Housing
GT25 inlet / GT25 outlet 0.64, 0.86 a/r

VS.

Stock 92 MR2 Turbo, CT27...

actually, I think I was wrong.. I think the CT20 is stock...

but what Im asking is.. if you take off the stock turbo and add this GT2540R.. is that a bigger turbo? more effiecent?

is 10psi in the stock turbo the same as 10psi in the GT2540R? I have heard that bigger aftermarket turbo's will produce the same effects as stock turbo's but using less boost... i am jumping into a realm of things that I dont know a lot about, but am willing ot learn....

The stock turbo, in the US, is the CT26.
The CT20B came on later model MR2s in Japan that never came to the US.
Many people have imported CT20bs thoughs.

The CT27 is a turbo from ATS Racing (atsracing.net).

ok so.... now that we have determined the stock turbo's...

can anyone answer the original question? if i buy an mr2 with a GT2540R turbo already on it.... whats different about that turbo from stock? what can i expect??

by the way.. this is what im buying... i think its an ok deal.. but im gonna check it out more before i pay.
