California Bay Area Auto Repair?

Hi there,

The title is pretty specific, and I'm not expecting too many hits, but here I go!

I was wondering if anyone was from the bay area and knew any good shops that I could get my MR2 fixed at. I became a proud MR2 owner last month when I bought a 91 turbo. Just today I hydroplaned and ruined a rim (surprisingly no body damage) and messed up the alignment as well. I was hoping someone could recommend a good place in the bay area I could get my car checked out. I'm not looking to heavily modify the car yet, as apparently I'm still not used to it. Just want to get the car back to how it was. I'm running on KYB struts and TRD springs with 17" RS rims which came with the car.

Still haven't gotten a repair manual for the car so any recommendations on the toe-in/out degrees would be nice too

Thanks in advance if anyone can lend a hand.

Are you looking for just checking the allignment, or are there other things that you want to check out.

As far as shops, There aren't that many aound that will take MR2s because people refuse to work on them. Engine bay space for the main reason.

Blacktrax performance- Milpitas

Auto RND - Milpitas (Ask for John, he has a yellow MR2)

Bozz performance - Fremont

I don't think these guys do allignments thought. Any Wheelworks would do it for you but it is kind of steep for allignment. 90 bucks. I had it done at a shop on Keyes st in san jose for $60 and it's the same. They use computers so it doesn't really matter.

That's all that I can think off right now, I have a couple more but I forgot the names. Where exactly are you located?

I'm in Foster City. Yea, I just took it to the nearest wheelworks, turns out my father knows the guy store manager so I think that'll do. Thank you for your response todd. It turns out I bent the tie rod and lower control arm.

Follow-up:

Have to replace lower control arm, ball joint, inner and outer tie rod, upper strut mount, and tension rod... oh and two rims. Going to cost a pretty penny.

Front right side is what I screwed up. I'm not sure if the people at Wheel Works have ordered the parts already though. Its already been in their shop a week now with no work done to it.

Ahhh .. neither of us has extra font suspension stuff. We do have OE wheels we're looking to get rid of though if that's what you need. Shoot me an email at gairloch@gmail.com if you're interested.

Ah, yea I already got a set of the stock wheels from craigslist w/ tires, but no lug nuts! >< Hence my other posting about lug nuts hahah. Thanks for your help Gairloch, it is much appreciated. The guys at wheel works are probably putting the parts on today, but can't align it if I don't get those stupid lugs. Gah. I'll repost it in the lug nut thread I started but here's a picture of why I'm confused:
