changing gear ratios

im rebilding the transmision, and they toldme they can change the gear ratios at no extra $, wat gears should i make longer or shorter on my 91 mr2? -now it doesnt have any mods just the intake, ill be aming to 250- 270 hp - of course that from the 3sgte- (i think the firsth its to shorth) but i need advice

Unless you know what you are changing and why, I'd stick to stock.

I do have some thoughs about what I would do with my car, but I know exactly whay I want those changes. The same changes could be completely wrong for how somone else uses their car. Drag racers, autocross driver and road course guys all have different needs, and gear ratios could be fitted to any of those (and the hp of thew car in question), but what works great in one situation can be all wrong for another use. Be careful.
