Motor Mount Inserts

Picked up a set of motor mount inserts, but not 100% on how to install them. I've been told by several it's an easy install, but not how to install them. And no, instructions didn't come with the box. Any got the quick-and-easy on the install?

This is the entire engine removal, you can just skip around to the parts about the motor mounts

Wow, so I pretty much have to drop the engine to get to it? Seems like a lot more than the hour and a half install I was told about. Am I missing the shortcut?

No, you do not have to drop the engine, that was just the page to show you HOW to drop the enginge. You will just do one motor mount at a time. The engine doesn't drop unless you do all four at once

Motor mount inserts are great I got some on my car. I love them. Which ones did you get?. They are not to hard to put on. If you live in the bay are come to my house and I will help you install them. There are a piece of cake. This what they look like when they are installed. Hopefully this will help you out. Click on the picture to make it larger.

TRD ones came with my clip... but i didnt know that so i ordered some from Kirk (Kirkosaurus on MR2oc)... Dave later told me that he never received them, but they were only 50 bucks so id just as soon leave well enough alone.

Anyways, the TRD ones do a decent job at eliminating wheel hop (still feels like a rough vibration though).

The kirkosaurus are great that's what I have. Let me tell you they work really good and are less expensive than the TRD ones they work just as good. To eliminate wheel hop alltogether what I did was I also installed an engine anti torque bar along witht he kirkosaurus motor mounts and I have no wheel hop now.

Here is a picture of the engine torque bar before and after I installed it. This thing is the greatest it also gave me somother acceleration.

Yeah, I got the inserts from Kirk. And no, I live in Oklahoma...away from any mainstream car groups. But thanks for the replies.

There is a guy by the name of kirkasourus that sells the motor mount inserts for a good price, I can't remember his website, but some one here probably does. Let me look for it to see if I can find it for you. The one I have is a engine anti torque bar it mounts on the bottom of the car from the tranny to the fire wall it helps eliminate engine hop and it gives you smother acceleration. Wheel hop is a good way to break your axles.
