Well, I was looking over the twosrus website for struts and narrowed it down to two options after searching a bit. The KYB AGX 4-way adjustables have gotten nothing but good reviews, but sit at almost $500 for the set. I was also looking at the GR-2s that were prices around $275 for the set. I need to overhaul my suspension, so I need to figure out which one to get. Question, or opinion, should I go ahead and get the GR-2s, or should I wait and save for the 4-way adjustables? (FYI, I am not a hardcore autocrosser or track star. I am looking for good performance without sacrificing driveability.)
i have the gr-2s and tein lowering springs and it has really helped out my car... then again all 4 of my shocks were busted... they are just replacement cartridges and it has dramtically helped my car
Yeah, I'm doing ball joints, tie rods, complete prothane bushing kit, and I was leaning towards Eibach's pro-kit spring set and one of the two strut choices. All purchased from twosrus, of course.
i like the tein better than i have liked ne eibach... the eibach are jus too stiff... my 2 handles great and rides great with tein its a 1.5 drop in the front and 1.7 in the back and it was only like $220
I have the KYB AGX & Tein S-Techs all around and It was only roughly $500. The KYBs were $320 shipped and Tein's were $180 shipped, but that was when they had good deals for them both on Ebay. It rides nice and tight around corners, but a little bone jarring on bumps. But that's pretty much standard with any other suspension pack you get. Just refer to all the replies you're getting with the different types of setups.
every bump raped us in my friends car with the eibachs the gr2s and tein are nice and i actually think it was better than i was before but then again all 4 of my shocks were busted lol
The valving in the AGX is pretty aggressive. If you were actually into tracking your 2 I would recommend them but if you're looking for something closer to OE replacement I'd highly recommend the GR2s. They've gotten very positive reviews from everyone that I know that has them and knows what they're talking about.

Speaking of suspension and autocrossing.....Does anybody in here ever come down to the fort myers auto cross events? It goes on the first weekend of every month, i was just out there this passed weekend and there was a genII n/a out there w/ full suspension and slicks all the way around keeping up with some of the vetts. i am going to run my 2 out there next month so if anybody wants to drive down i'll be there.
Also question: (it might be stupid) you can run any strut with any spring right??
and as far as springs go.... Intrax or Tein s-techs what would you guys recommend? Thanks

I'm running the AGX 4 ways too. got about 15k miles on them. I like them alot. they have made quite a difference.paid $320.00 incl. shipping from ebay.
I have the same setup as MR.2Lanes. Paid pretty much the same also. Ebay is your friend. The ride is definately stiffer than stock, but not too bad.
You should consider changing your strut mounts also. If they are original, they are probalby due, and you have to take them off when changing the other stuff anyway. I just got them from Advance Auto Parts for like 55 apiece. I wish I had done it last year when we changed my shocks and springs, 'cause that would've kept me out of the garage this weekend, but oh well.
