exhaust question.

is this a good idea ?? to get a full 2.5" custom exhaust from the down pipe all the way to the STOCK MUFLER or will I need to buy a aftermarket mufler ?? I have no laws over here for exhaust so anything goes.....and i will get a very straight remove the catalytic converter or any of that $h!t that gets in the way. Thx for the Help .

i did that already

i drilled the catalistic conveter and after it, y dint just put a 2 1/2 inch pipe, i instead put a -Y- pipe, welded to the catalistic, each pipe its 2 1/2 inch, i did it all at a mufller shop,i live in San Diego CA. so i went to my home town Tijuana -Mexico- and the exausth cost me 50$!!! plus the free flow muflers that i already had. (note that my exausth arent stainless steal) im gessingill cost you more than 120 plus the muflers

It depends on what yo uare aiming for. If you are shooting for 275 rwhp+ I would go 3" from the turbo to the tip; otherwise, 2.5" the entire way.

I wanted to do the 2.5" to start out but i took it to the mufler shop and they said they cant do nothing to my exhaust . They said the only thing they could do is to get the catalytic converter of the B pipe remove and that is it .Because is already 2.5 but i see it like a stock exhaust and the only thing that is 2.0" is the tube that goes from the end of the B-pipe to the mufler so i was really disappointed today.Any ideas plz help Thx .

There are plenty of aftermarket exhausts out there to buy off-the-shelf.
